AP 3D

AP 3D art & Design

The three Art and Design portfolios (2-D, 3-D, and Drawing) share a basic, two-section structure, which requires you to show a fundamental competence and range of understanding in visual concerns and methods. Each section contributes to the final portfolio score, which is on a 5-point scale.

You will submit a portfolio of artwork for evaluation at the end of the school year. You’ll upload digital images of your work and commentary online.

You can click the AP College Board logo to the left to visit the AP 3D Art & Design specific website.

Students can earn college credit with a passing AP portfolio score (it would depend on the college you are attending. I recommend students speak with the admissions/art departments they are interested in to see what course credit they could earn) but showing you have dedicated yourself for a year in a college level art course is a great thing to have on your transcript regardless of your score.

Plus...we have fun.
