Mock Interviews - Student Guide

Student Folders

Student Folders:

Students will need to bring their interview folder with them to Mock Interviews.

File Tab Label must include:

Student First and Last Name
Student ID
Teacher First and Last Name
Class Period
Pathway or Course Name (optional)

File Contents must include:

Resume
Cover Letter
Three Letters of Recommendation - Encouraged but Optional - Needed if students are working toward their Leadership Seal.
Thank You Letter

Note: Folders will be left with the Interviewer to provide feedback and will be returned to you the following day.

Resume:

Resumes should be professional but creative.
Resumes limit the personal information shared now...like home address.

Cover Letter:

Cover letters should be addressed to the person listed as the contact for the position.
Positions may be found here.

Three Letters of Recommendation:

Three Letters of Recommendation are optional but encouraged.
These letters are needed for the Georgia Leadership Skill Seal.
Students may print and use copies of letters they have already received.
Ask for letters from adults other than school staff or to give school staff plenty of time to complete.

Thank You Letter:

Thank you letters should be written to the same person and address used in the cover letter.
Students should use the school address and the date of their interview. Below is a sample.
