🎶 MASHBURN ELEMENTARY CHORUS

Calling All 2nd–5th Grade Singers!

Do you love to sing? Have you ever wanted to be part of a group that performs on a real stage, sings at exciting events, and makes memories with friends?

Then Mashburn Chorus is for YOU!

I am excited to invite all 2nd–5th grade students to join us for another great year of singing, performing, and having fun together. Whether your child has been in chorus before or has never sung in a school chorus, we would love to have them!

🎤 What Will We Do?

This year, our chorus will have the opportunity to perform at several exciting events, including:

🎄 Winter Concert- 12/1/26 @ 6:00pm  in  Mashburn Cafe
❄️ Winter Fest- 12/9/26 @ 6:00pm at Forsyth Central High School
🎶 Spring Concert- 4/22/27
🏒 Atlanta Gladiators Hockey Game- TBA (tentative date 11/15/26 @3pm arrive at Gwinnett arena at 2:30pm) — Our chorus will perform “O Canada” at the game!

These performances give students the opportunity to experience what it is like to prepare music, perform with a group, and share their hard work with an audience.

🌟 Never Been in Chorus Before?

That's okay!

Our 2nd graders are joining us for the first time, so if you aren't sure what chorus is all about, you're not alone!

Chorus is about much more than having a “good singing voice.” Students will learn how to:

• Sing confidently as part of a group

• Read and follow music

• Learn harmonies and different vocal parts

• Perform with expression

• Work as a team

• Build confidence on stage

• Make new friends and have fun!

You do NOT have to be an experienced singer to join. If you like to sing, we want you!

🕖 When Do We Meet?

Wednesdays • 7:10–7:45 AM

Students will be dropped off through the regular carline location (not time) in the morning.

Please note: This is different from last year. Chorus students will not use the bus lane for chorus drop-off.

💵 Chorus Fee

One-time fee: $75

The fee covers:

• 🎵 Concert music

• 👕 Chorus shirt

🎶 Who Can Join?

All 2nd–5th grade students!

I would love to see at least 75 singers in our chorus this year, and I especially hope to see lots of 4th and 5th graders join us!

Whether this is your child's first experience with chorus or they've been singing with us for years, there is a place for them in the Mashburn Chorus family.

No auditions. No previous chorus experience required.

Just bring your voice, your enthusiasm, and a willingness to be part of the group!
