RISING 12TH GRADE REGISTRATION PACKET
Use the contents of this packet to determine which courses you need to register for your 12th grade year.
COURSE CHANGE REQUEST FORM
While the Course Change Request Form is available, we highly recommend taking courses recommended for you by your teachers. Should you feel you still need to use the Course Change Request Form, click here. Remember that these are requests and are not guaranteed and that, if granted, these requests are considered final course selections and cannot be changed after January 29th.
IE2
12th grade students must have at least 4 academic classes to be full-time students. This means they have room in their schedule for three IE2 classes, if they wish to do IE2.
Athletes and students who receive social security must have 5 classes for eligibility purposes, which means they can only have two IE2 periods. Note, an athlete is any student who participates in GHSA Competitions (this includes One Act, Bass Fishing, Esports, Literary, etc.).
IE2 must be at the beginning and/or end of the day, and students must fill out this form to be considered. Students must have their own transportation to or from school to have an IE2 period.
ONLINE COURSES DURING THE SCHOOL DAY
Fill out the Lambert Course Change Request Form (click here) if you wish to have an online course DURING your 8-period day at Lambert (FVA, GAVS, etc.). Please note the following:
You still need to be fully requested with face-to-face classes during the registration window.
Online courses in your 8 period day will be FVA unless FVA does not offer the course.
If you request a FVA course, you need to
1.) Complete the Lambert Course Change Request Form
2.) Complete the FVA Student Application
If you request a GAVS course, you need to
1.) Complete the Lambert Course Change Request Form
2.) Request the course on the GAVS Website (both A for the fall and B for the spring)
3.) Complete the GAVS Intent to Participate Form (located in Infinite Campus Parent Portal under Documents/Forms)
This form is not a request form for summer courses or self-paid courses/courses outside of your schedule. This form is only for courses in your Lambert schedule. Fill out the Lambert Course Change Request Form to let us know your request for next year if you plan to take a course over the summer.
The next course in the sequence is not guaranteed if you take a summer course.
Your course requests will not be changed until you actually complete the summer course.
IMPORTANT CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS: Online courses IN your LHS schedule will be scheduled at the beginning or end of the day, and students will be required to take the course from home and provide their own transportation to or from school at the appropriate time. Please only choose an online course if you have appropriate transportation.
January 23-30 is the priority window for online requests.
DUAL ENROLLMENT
Visit Lambert's Dual Enrollment information page for the process to register for Dual Enrollment classes for the 2025-2026 school year.
APPLICATION & AUDITION COURSES
Check this page to see if any courses you are requesting require applications or auditions to have them added to your schedule. If so, follow all steps for the application/audition to ensure your application is complete and submitted by that course's deadline.
ELECTIVES & ALTERNATE ELECTIVES
Every student should select the appropriate number of electives to fill their schedule PLUS ONE alternate elective. Alternates are selected to let the scheduling team know which electives a student wants should they not get their first-choice electives. Follow these instructions to select electives AND alternates.
SUMMER COURSES OR COURSES OUTSIDE OF YOUR SCHEDULE
If you plan to take a course over the summer or outside of your schedule, think very carefully!
