RISING 10TH GRADE VIRTUAL Q&A MEETING
To ask additional questions about the registration process, you can attend a whole-group Teams meeting 2:30-3:30 on January 24th.
RISING 10TH GRADE REGISTRATION PACKET
Use the contents of this packet to determine which courses you need to register for your 10th grade year.
COURSE CHANGE REQUEST FORM
While the Course Change Request Form is available, we highly recommend taking courses recommended for you by your teachers. Should you feel you still need to use the Course Change Request Form, click here. Remember that these are requests and are not guaranteed and that, if granted, these requests are considered final course selections and cannot be changed after January 29th.
IE2
10th grade students must have at least 6 academic classes to be full-time students. This means they have room in their schedule for one IE2 class, if they wish to do IE2. IE2 must be 1st or 8th period, and students must fill out this form and turn in this permission slip. Students must have their own transportation to or from school to have an IE2 period.
ONLINE COURSES
Fill out the Lambert Online Course Request Form if you wish to have an online course during your 8-period day at Lambert (FVA, GAVS, etc.) or if you intend to self pay for a class outside of your schedule. Please note the following:
You still need to be fully requested with face-to-face classes during the registration window.
Online courses in your 8 period day will be FVA unless FVA does not offer the course.
If you request a FVA course, you need to
1.) Complete the Lambert Online Course Request Form
2.) Complete the FVA Student Application
If you request a GAVS course, you need to
1.) Complete the Lambert Online Course Request Form
2.) Request the course on the GAVS Website
3.) Complete the GAVS Intent to Participate Form (located in Infinite Campus Parent Portal under Documents/Forms)
If taking a summer class, do NOT register for the class that comes after the summer class. We will try to make that change after you submit passing summer transcripts, but completion of a course in the summer does not guarantee the next course in the sequence in a student’s schedule. To let Lambert know you are taking a summer class and plan to request the next level/a different course for next year, complete the Lambert Course Change Request Form.
IMPORTANT CHANGE FROM PREVIOUS YEARS: Online courses IN your LHS schedule will be scheduled at the beginning or end of the day, and students will be required to take the course from home and provide their own transportation to or from school at the appropriate time. Please only choose an online course if you have appropriate transportation.
January 22-29 is the priority window for online requests.
APPLICATION & AUDITION COURSES
Check this page to see if any courses you are requesting require applications or auditions to have them added to your schedule. If so, follow all steps for the application/audition to ensure your application is complete and submitted by that course's deadline.
ELECTIVES & ALTERNATE ELECTIVES
Every student should select the appropriate number of electives to fill their schedule PLUS TWO alternate electives. Alternates are selected to let the scheduling team know which electives a student wants should they not get their first-choice electives. Follow these instructions to select electives AND TWO alternates.
AFTER you have selected your electives PLUS TWO alternates, fill out this form to let the scheduling team know which alternate is your FIRST choice alternate (the elective you will get if you do not get your first-choice selected elective) and which alternate is your SECOND choice (the one you will get if you do not get either your first choice selected electives OR your first-choice alternate.) This form does NOT add alternates to your selections in Infinite Campus; that must be done prior to filling out this form. This form ONLY tells which altnerates are your first and second choice because there is no way for you to note that in Infinite Campus.
10th GRADE APPLICATION TO DOUBLE-UP IN SCIENCE
10th graders who meet qualifications to double-up in science will concurrently take Honors Chemistry AND either AP Biology, AP Physics I, or AP Environmental Science IF APPROVED. They must complete the application in this flyer by the January 29th at 4:00 PM deadline and meet all criteria.
