A Message from Mrs. Moity

Kelly Mill Families,

WOW! What a start to the 2026–2027 school year! After two days, I can already tell this is going to be a great one. I have been so impressed with our Colts—our students are learning routines, settling into classrooms, making connections, and showing us what it means to be a Colt Who Cares!

And I have to give a BIG shout-out to our 4th and 5th graders! They are leading the way and showing our younger Colts exactly how we do things at KME. I have loved watching them step up, help others, and set the tone for our school. I am so proud of them!

Our teachers and staff have poured so much heart into these first two days, and it shows. We are off to a strong, joyful start, and I could not be more excited about what is ahead.

I also want to thank our families for your patience as we work through establishing our dismissal routines and procedures. We are taking some extra steps to make dismissal as safe and efficient as possible, and we will see progress each day as our students and staff become more comfortable with the routines. The most important thing you can do to help our car rider line run smoothly is to make sure your child knows their car rider number. When their number is called, they need to be ready to get in line. Practicing this at home will make a BIG difference!

Thank you, families, for helping us get these first two days off to such a great start. Keep the momentum going, keep talking about school, and keep reminding our Colts that they belong, they matter, and they can do hard things.

KME, we are off and running! Let's keep going!

Important Back-to-School Information

• Morning Arrival: The school bell will ring at 7:10. Morning carline will run 7:10-7:40. Students entering the buidling after 7:40 will recieve a tardy pass and will be marked tardy. We will start marking students tardy on Monday, August 10.

• Parent Portal: Visit the FCS Parent Portal page to learn more about IC/Parent Portal and how to obtain Parent Portal access. 

• Beginning of Year Forms: Please click here for basic instructions about how to sign forms in Parent Portal. See below for a list of the permission forms that need to be completed by August 18, 2026.

• Canvas Parent: Stay connected to your child's classroom by creating a Canvas Parent account. Visit the FCS Canvas Information page to learn more about Canvas and how to obtain Canvas Parent access. 

• Stay Connected: Don't miss important updates throughout the year! Visit the KME About Us page to sign up for all of our Kelly Mill social media channels and be sure to check out our new KME Insights Podcast for school news and highlights.

• School Lunch Menu: Menus are accessed though the Mealviewer App for each individual school. After downloading the app and choosing your children's school, the menu along with allergy, calories and carbs can be viewed for each item, each day.
