A Message from Mrs. Moity
A Message from Mrs. Moity
Kelly Mill Families,
Thank you to everyone who joined us for Curriculum Night! We love welcoming our families into the building and giving you the opportunity to connect with your child's teacher and see their learning environment. Your partnership matters, and we are grateful for the time you take to be part of your child's school experience.
There is a lot of information in this week's newsletter that may look familiar, but it is still super relevant! Be sure to take a few minutes to look through everything so you don't miss important reminders and opportunities to get involved.
If you are interested in volunteering at Kelly Mill, be sure to visit the Partner Connect website and complete the required volunteer training. We would also love for you to check out the many ways you can support our Inclusive Playground Project and learn about all the opportunities to get involved with our amazing PTO.
We have some AMAZING things happening at Kelly Mill, and none of them are possible without the support of our KME community. When our families, staff, and community come together, we can do SO much together! Thank you for being part of what makes Kelly Mill such a special place.
Be sure to rest, relax and recharge with those you love!
Love,
Mrs. Moity

Morning Mile Starts Monday
Every weekday morning starting Aug 24th, students in grades K-5 will have the opportunity to participate in a morning walking/running program called the Morning Mile. Each grade level runs on a different day, so please be aware of your child’s day. Students will have the chance to get some exercise and expend some energy so that they are ready to excel in class. The program is free, voluntary, and no sign up is required. Students will walk or run on the field or in the gym. The distance students cover will be recorded and as it adds up they will earn distance charms that will be awarded in PE. We are so excited to start this program and get our students moving. Please contact Coach Warner at dwarner@forsyth.k12.ga.us if you have any questions.’

Let's Build A Playground for All
Let's Build A Playground for All
🎈 Building the Future of Play: How YOU Can Help Our Inclusive Playground! 🚀
Kelly Mill Family, the excitement around our brand-new Inclusive Playground Project in partnership with the Hope for Hall Forsyth chapter is at an all-time high! Now that our plans are officially approved, we are laser-focused on the most important phase of this journey: bringing this dream to life for our kids.
As the host school for multiple special education programs, including the Orthopedic Impairment Program, Kelly Mill is home to students of all abilities who deserve to play side-by-side. Right now, traditional playground surfaces like mulch and inaccessible equipment mean some of our students have to watch the fun from the sidelines. Our new design features accessible rubber surfacing, custom ramps, sensory-friendly spaces, adaptive swings, a zip line with supportive seating, and a communication board so every child can belong, participate, and thrive.
To turn these renders into reality, we need our entire KME community to rally together!
💙 3 Ways Families & Community Members Can Get Involved Today
💙 3 Ways Families & Community Members Can Get Involved Today
Make a Direct Family Donation: Every contribution—big or small—directly purchases playground equipment and surfacing. Visit hopeforhall.com/donate to give today!
Use the PEACH Education Tax Credit (At $0 Net Cost to You!): Georgia taxpayers can redirect their Georgia state income tax dollars directly to the Kelly Mill Inclusive Playground project. You receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit on what you owe in state taxes—meaning your support costs you nothing out of pocket while making a massive impact at KME!
Spread the Word: Share our mission with neighbors, grandparents, and local groups who care about accessibility and inclusion in Forsyth County!
🏢 Calling All Local Businesses & Corporate Partners!
🏢 Calling All Local Businesses & Corporate Partners!
Are you a business owner, entrepreneur, or corporate leader looking to make a lasting, highly visible impact right here in our community? We want to partner with you!
We offer prominent corporate sponsorship opportunities ranging from individual play elements to signature naming rights that will feature your logo permanently on our main entrance donor board. Aligning your business with this project shows thousands of local families that you stand for inclusion, accessibility, and student well-being. (Plus, businesses can also utilize the PEACH Tax Credit for up to $25,000 or 75% of their annual GA income tax liability!)
Together, we are taking our kids off the sidelines and putting them right in the center of the action. Let’s show everyone what the Kelly Mill community can do when we pull together!
