Your Task

Luckily for me before any more shots were fired, several suspects were apprehended and all firearms in the area were collected. As lead investigator, your task is to determine which suspect using what weapon could have taken a shot at me as I entered Pleasant Park. To do so you will need to have a complete understanding of the following firearm-related concepts:

• Basic Firearm Terminology
• Toolmarks and Impressions
• Gun Shot Residue and Distance Determination
• Impact Angles and Trajectories

Your understanding of these concepts will be assessed along the way to ensure that you are a credible expert witness in the event that this case makes it to criminal court.

Once you feel confident that you have your shooter and identified the weapon that was used, you will write a report justifying your decision.
