Our Graphic Design Advisory Board is an active group of employers and community and school representatives who advise educators on the design, development, operation, and evaluation of our program. It creates a partnership between our Graphic Design program and businesses in the community we serve. Members provide support and advice to the program and assist in producing graduates prepared to enter post-secondary training and/or the workforce.
Advisory Board Duties:
Meet at least two times per year for one hour at a designated location.
Provide information to update, modify, expand, and improve the quality of career pathways.
Assist and communicate short/long-term goals and objectives of the pathways to students, parents, local schools, employers, and the community.
Advise on current and long-range labor market trends.
Identify and assess community resources to support the career pathways.
Participate in pathway evaluation and accreditation.
Conduct occupational/community surveys related to the pathway needs of the community.
Support and strengthen partnerships between business, labor, community, and education.
Make recommendations that will strengthen and provide assistance in implementing these recommendations..
Assist in preparing students for CTSO events.
Assist with job shadowing and internship opportunities for students.
