Property Values and Community Investment

Community Investment includes everyone: government, policy makers, community planers, small and large businesses, goods producers, consumers, just to name a few.

Community investment means shopping local, purchasing homes, starting and supporting small businesses, creating areas for recreation, and so on.

The relationship between property values and community investment is somewhat a "chicken-or-the-egg" situation. What comes first? Do property values increase as we invest more in the overall community? Or, do we see more interest in investing in the community once we see confidence in property worth?
