COVID-19 and The Rooms

To prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our communities, Foundation for Recovery has developed a set of actions to ensure that persons in or seeking recovery from substance use and mental health disorders are protected. While we understand the impact that social isolation has on those in recovery, FFR wants to guard not only the individuals with increased risk for illness but the community at large and our staff.

FFR's leadership has made the decision that in the best interest of public safety, The Rooms will suspend our meeting and classroom space to mutual support groups effective immediately until further notice. Foundation for Recovery will reserve the meeting times and space for mutual support groups and not expect groups to pay rent during this time. We will remain in close contact with groups for information when The Rooms reopen.

There are a variety of online (virtual) groups and the staff of Foundation for Recovery is available to provide recovery supports during this challenging time. If anyone needs help identifying these tools or assistance with accessing them are committed to helping support your recovery. Our Peer Center remains committed to helping support your recovery. Our Peer Center remains committed to providing support for those seeking recovery but will continue to follow good public health guidance from the CDC and our local Health Districts and will respond to any support that is needed and we are able to accommodate in this difficult period.

Foundation for Recovery does not take this decision lightly. We understand the impact this will have on people in recovery. You can find resources for additional recovery supports on our website at www.forrecovery.org

We appreciate your understanding during this time. Please do not hesitate to reach out at (702)257-8199 with any questions.
