Cincinnati is a hot spot for hidden gems when it comes to amazing coffee shops. While big corporate coffee shops, like Starbucks, can be an easy option, many people don't know the many benefits there are when you support and drink locally. Luckily for you, I am here to give you insight on the many advantages of drinking local coffee, while also telling you about all of the amazing places there are in Anderson you can visit next time you are out and about!
Local coffee shops support the community.
When drinking local coffee, you are not only supporting a small business, but you are supporting the community. Compared to large coffee chains, local coffee shops “reinvest a high percentage of revenue back into the local economy,” Sirinicci Coffee Company said. This then creates a ripple effect. More jobs are created and the community is benefited.
They serve better coffee.
Local coffee shops tend to care more about the drink they serve compared to big chain coffee places. They know that in order to keep afloat, their drinks have to taste good. They take their time when making their drinks, while also using better ingredients, leaving you with a fresher, better tasting drink.
They provide better customer service.
All of my experiences with local coffee shops have been amazing. Whether I am in the drive through or I am walking into the shop, I am often greeted with a smile and “How are you doing?” Many larger corporations are too busy to greet all of their customers politely. Local coffee shops elevate the simple act of buying coffee to a personalized experience, making you want to keep coming back.
The best local coffee shops in Anderson.
While there are many places to go to get some amazing coffee here in Anderson, I have compiled a list of my top three favorites. Number one: Village Coffee Shop. Their customer service is unmatched. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left, they were very nice and personal. Number two: Doscher Candy Co. Don’t be fooled by the name, they serve up some amazing coffee. My favorite part about the coffee is the little piece of candy they add to your drink - something you can't get anywhere else. Number three, my personal favorite: Luckman Coffee. All around amazing coffee, chai, and muffins. I have never had a bad experience, and I am there almost every day.
Ultimately, drinking locally has endless benefits. You’re supporting the community, while also enjoying the unique flavors and personalized experiences that only local coffee shops can offer.
