Welcome to our Virtual Transition Day! We are excited to welcome you to our school in September and give you a taste of the exceptional, world-class curriculum that we offer to our students everyday.
At FGCS we believe in providing a high standard of education for all our students. At the core will be a safe, aspirational and structured learning environment. This will empower our students to be the best version of themselves.
We are saddened that we cannot welcome you in person, however we hope that this website will provide a test of what day-to-day life at FGCS is like and we look forward to answering any questions that you may have.
Welcome from Mr Badat (Year 7 Head of Learning) and Ms Henry (Year 7 Student Manager)
At Forest Gate Community School, we use SLANT, SHAPE and STEPS to help teach children how to regulate their behaviour. Students are encouraged to be attentive, polite and articulate every time they interact with a member of our school community. Click on the videos to find out more!
The DPR stands for the Dynamic Progress Reporting system. This system allows teachers, students and parents to engage in all aspects of a child's learning. Learn more about how you can be involved in your child's progress during their time at FGCS.
