Kevin T. Jackson, J.D., Ph.D., is Professor of Business Ethics and Law at Fordham University's Gabelli School of Business, in New York City. A philosopher, attorney, keynote speaker, and virtuoso musician, Professor Jackson has served on the faculties of Georgetown University, Princeton University, École des Ponts (Paris), Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium) and Peking University (China). Dr. Jackson is a Senior Fellow at The Witherspoon Institute (Princeton) and a Fellow at European SPES Institute (Leuven). He is an active member of the Society for Business Ethics and the Society for Christian Scholarship in Music. Dr. Jackson has authored several books, including Building Reputational Capital: Strategies for Integrity and Fair Play That Improve the Bottom Line (Oxford University Press), Virtuosity in Business: Invisible Law Guiding the Invisible Hand (University of Pennsylvania Press), Charting Global Responsibilities: Legal Philosophy and Human Rights (University Press of America), and publishes interdisciplinary scholarship in top-tier academic journals, including Journal of Business Ethics and Business Ethics Quarterly. In his book, Virtuosity in Business, Professor Jackson presents the concept of virtuosity in music as an analogue for deepening understanding of, and for cultivating, virtuosity in business. Among the advantages of undertaking the comparison is the assistance it provides in envisioning business in a new light, a task especially called for in a climate of disillusionment with economic institutions and economic actors. He is currently researching the concept of time-value and its role in the fields of music, ethics, the philosophy of law, economics, and business life. Courses Professor Jackson has designed and taught include: DEI and Constitutional Law, Corporate Social Responsibility, Ethics in Business, International Business Ethics, Epistemology (Ph.D. seminar), Ethics and Social Responsibility in Media Enterprises, and Contemporary Moral Issues in Business (Executive MBA). An acclaimed speaker for executives, dignitaries, and academics around the world, Dr. Jackson is also much loved by students for his interactive and high-energy presentation style. He composes, records, and performs across classical, popular, and jazz musical genres.
