8th Grade Math

  • Bring equipment to class: Pencil, notes, textbook, eraser, calculator. Rulers, protractors, and compasses are also useful to have, but not essential.
  • A second notebook for writing and completing proofs will also be very useful. This can be kept separate from your class notes and you can use it to help you solve problems in homework assignments and on tests.
  • Homework will be set most days. Some homework will be collected and graded. We will go through other assignments at the beginning of class and use them to shape the rest of our learning in the lesson.
  • Arrive to class on time
  • In the event that you are struggling to complete an assignment, try to communicate with me either in person or through email. I will always make time to help you!
  • Have positive attitude - try to share some of my boundless enthusiasm for mathematics!
  • Take risks. "Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new." Albert Einstein
