VOLUNTEER PORTAL

Food Pantry of Jeff Davis County Volunteers:

We could not fulfill our mission without you!

Visit our food pantry and you will witness an extraordinary demonstration of community spirit and dedication. In 2023, nearly 50 individuals generously volunteered their time, contributing more than 3,200 hours to support our mission. This includes a core group of 15 people whose unwavering commitment is the cornerstone of our ability to serve our clients.

Special recognition goes to our volunteers who wear two hats: clients who receive assistance from us and also volunteer their time. Your willingness to help others even while facing your own challenges is nothing short of inspiring!

Volunteers, you remind us of the power of community and the difference we can make when we come together with a common purpose and compassion. Thank you for your tireless service, your inspiring generosity, and your crucial role in our mission to ensure no one in our community goes hungry.

Online Training

All volunteers are required to complete annual training to ensure the highest standards of service and safety at our food pantry. The mandatory courses include Civil Rights, Food Safety, and The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP). These trainings are essential to our commitment to support and serve our community responsibly.
