The FNESU Virtual Learning system is designed to offer students a fully remote learning environment for the 2020/2021 school year. There will be one model for students in grades K-8, and a different model for students in grades 9-12.
Students in grades K-8 will be enrolled in the FNESU Virtual Learning Academy, which will be taught entirely by FNESU employees. Students will be assigned a classroom teacher and cohort of students in the same grade level. Students will include a mix of students from all six FNESU communities: Bakersfield, Berkshire, Enosburg, Montgomery, Richford, and Sheldon.
Most students in grades 9-12 who choose this fully virtual option will be enrolled in the Vermont Virtual Learning Cooperative (VTVLC). We will be scheduling an orientation to the VTVLC model for students enrolled in this option.
The language of “Virtual Learning System” is used to embody the idea that students enrolling in the FNESU Virtual Academy and VTVLC partnership are still students of the Franklin Northeast Supervisory Union.
