National studies show that 21stCCLC program, like LEAPS, work for families. By keeping the lights on afterschool, youth have access to programming not available elsewhere in their communities. Youth are able to socialize with their friends while supporting working family members. For over 20 years, our afterschool programs have been supporting school-day attendance, academics, helping students gain new friends, teaching new skills, and creating lifelong memories. Each October, LEAPS joins millions of afterschool and summer programs across the country to celebrate the incredible work by third space staff. If you want to learn more about how afterschool supports youth and families, policies that affect afterschool programming, or what other programs look like you can visit the Afterschool Alliance and Vermont Afterschool webpages.
Below is our FY25 data sheet with more information on how LEAPS works for our community.
