Before becoming a school librarian I taught pre-k, first, second and third grades. I received a masters degree in Library and Information Science so I could change my focus from the classroom to the library. In this role I get to know the students over 6 years and watch their personalities (and legs) grow! 

I am originally from Michigan, but have been "down south" for over 25 years. I am lucky that my two kids share my love for books. I have always enjoyed reading and have wanted to be a librarian since elementary school. I would spend many cold and snowy winter recesses in the library helping out so I could avoid going outside. 

I look forward to instilling a love of books and reading in your child as well as teaching them ways to discover answers to the many questions they always seem to have.
