As a student council senator, you will represent NFHS as a leader in the school and the community. In addition, you will be a voice for your class and will play an active role in executing exciting student life and service activities including the NAFO Canned Food Drive, Spirit Week, Homecoming, and the Miss Nation Ford pageant, among other events. Your submission of this application packet demonstrates your commitment to Student Council, and that you agree to adhere to the expectations and policies of Student Council, Nation Ford High School, and Fort Mill School District.
Please read the application and Senator requirements thoroughly while reflecting on your current time commitments and extracurricular activities. While many activities are fun and being a member will look great on your college resume, it is important to note that Student Council is a year-long time commitment that should not be taken lightly. Student council meets on a weekly basis and you will only be allowed two absences from meetings per semester. You must participate in mandatory events that will take place after school and a selection of other minor events throughout the school year in order to remain on the council. Advisors and executive officers will review your attendance at meetings and activities on a semester basis. If you do not fulfill all of the requirements of your position you will be recommended for removal from student council.Â
We look forward to receiving your application.
