The Fort Mill Media Center is an inviting, collaborative space designed to bring students and teachers together for learning, reading experiences, research, and projects. We offer books, playaways and digital resources in our library collection as well as offering spaces for teaching, meetings, studying, reading, and small group work. The mission of the Fort Mill Middle School Media Center is to provide an environment conducive to both collaborative and individual learning where students and teachers can explore their interests and meet their learning needs in a safe and supportive way that encourages us all to be lifelong learners.

Students are required to:
Read 2 middle grade/young adult books of their choice
We HIGHLY RECOMMEND students to make at least 1 if not both of their choice books from the SC Junior Book Award Nominee list.

Junior Book Award Nominees
In order to vote to decide the SC Junior Book Award and be invited to the FMMS Voting Party in February, students need to read 5 books from the list and fill out a google form for each book. Click on the logo about to learn more and fill out a form for each book.
The Most popular book at FMMS in 2019-2020 was Restart, And Restart by Gordan Korman was the overall Winner!
