The student must put forth effort to process and comrehend the text, but at a level that is not overwhelming and will not cause fatigue too quickly.
The Varied Print and Audio Text accommodation should be removed once an ML demonstrates they have increased vocabulary skills and can process academic reading with more proficiency. Most MLs do not require varied print or audio text beyond the Developing level (3), but some students occasionally require this accommodation through the Expanding level (4).
