Types of “Checks”:
Thumbs Up/Down
Post-it to write down question or answer and stick on poster board before exiting classroom
Google Form
ABCD options on desk to answer displayed question
Teacher asks the class if they understand/asks a comprehension question.
Student verbally responds to demonstrate understanding/responds adequately to the comprehension question.
“Before you leave the room, write down one thing we saw in class that you still need help understanding.”
Students jot down anything they are struggling with in class. If students have a full understanding of the material, they can write down something they learned.
Students will write names on the back of the post-it for privacy.
