The Fort Mill School District is excited to announce three new dual-credit pathways beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. We are partnering with Winthrop University, York Technical College, and USC Lancaster to provide additional dual-credit opportunities for our students. These pathways are in addition to the dual-credit courses currently offered on our campuses.

Dual-credit courses allow high school students to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Grades earned are recorded on both the high school transcript and an official college transcript. These courses follow college-level curriculum and standards.

Credits earned often transfer to other colleges or universities, depending on the receiving institution’s transfer policies. The Fort Mill School District does not control how other institutions accept credits (for example, they may be applied as elective credit rather than core credit).

Dual-credit courses may only be taken with Fort Mill School District approval and must be part of an official FMSD/college partner agreement.
