Student, Staff and Community
At Fort McMurray Public Schools, we prioritize what's best for our students. Engaging with staff, parents, students, and community members plays an important role in shaping education decisions and improving student outcomes. We value the input received from our stakeholders to plan for system direction and enhance program effectiveness, ensuring continuous progress and student well-being.
The leaf symbol represents engagement with schools and their communities.
FMPSD creates short videos, based on direction from the community, on topics such as the budget, funding models, the education plan and results report. These videos are intended to keep parents and guardians informed and engaged.
We collaborate with staff, parents, students, and community members. Groups such as School Councils, Wellness Committees, Superintendent Advisory Groups, Elders' Council, and the We Belong Advisory Council, help support education direction and meaningful outcomes.
We gather feedback through engagement questions and surveys that help us to understand community and staff perspectives. Feedback guides decisions, strengthens partnerships and resulting in improved student experiences.
