Below are links to our Wellness Wednesday recordings. In Wellness Wednesday we talk about resilience topics and how to build skills. Our Skill Building section is based on DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) skills. This will allow students to learn valuable information they can utilize to improve overall functioning and ability to create and maintain meaningful relationships.

Students will learn essential techniques like mindfulness, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, and interpersonal skills. These skills are designed to help them manage intense emotions and challenging situations effectively, leading to more positive outcomes.

Thrive helps students recognize that we can't control trigger events, but we can control our responses to them. The Thrive program teaches students how to recognize and stop automatic negative or unhelpful thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts. The result is feeling emotionally better and behaving in healthier ways. The group includes skills-building exercises to help prevent and manage negative and distressing emotions while enhancing healthy behaviors.
When: Thursdays, 12:00 PM, 9/4/25-10/30/25 (no session on 9/25)

In this closed group, death and grief are discussed and followed-up with activities to allow students to express themselves. Students are given a safe place to share their experiences and understand they are not alone in the grief process.
When: October 1st- November 19th

Full of Ourselves is an 8-week program open to female students. The sessions follow the curriculum book Full of Ourselves– A Wellness Program to Advance Girl Power, Health, and Leadership. The curriculum has a variety of engaging activities and discussion on mental, physical, and social health. After completing the group, students are welcomed back to participate as a "mentor" and given opportunities to grow through leadership.
