Thrive helps students recognize that we can't control trigger events, but we can control our responses to them. The Thrive program teaches students how to recognize and stop automatic negative or unhelpful thoughts and replace them with positive thoughts. The result is feeling emotionally better and behaving in healthier ways. The group includes skills-building exercises to help prevent and manage negative and distressing emotions while enhancing healthy behaviors.

In this small group, grief and loss are explained in developmentally appropriate terminology and followed-up with activities to allow students to express themselves openly and supported. Students are given a safe place to share their experiences and understand they are not alone in the grief process. Students are encouraged to support each other as they heal through their grief journeys.

Mission: Possible is a six-week small group designed to help FLVS high school students strengthen focus, organization, time management, motivation, and follow-through. Students will learn practical strategies for planning assignments, avoiding distractions, starting tasks, managing their workload, and creating routines that make online school feel more manageable. Each session includes interactive activities, useful tools, and simple strategies students can begin using right away. Join us to build skills that can help you feel more confident, less overwhelmed, and more successful in school!
