According to the FLVS-FT Students Onboarding Course: Staying on pace in your classes and completing work in order will help prepare you for DBAs. Students who are in good academic standing, earn passing scores on assignments, and are on track to successfully complete their courses could potentially earn exemption from the second DBA in each semester.
Here is how it works for English I:
You may choose which DBA you complete in Eng I! Lessons 1.07 and 2.05 are DBAs.
*You may complete DBA 1.07 any time after successfully completing all work up to and including Lesson 1.03. (1.07 DBA Topics)
OR
*You may complete DBA 2.05 any time after successfully completing all work in Unit 2 up to and including Lesson 2.04. (2.05 DBA Topics)
One DBA must be completed by 10/29/21.
If you complete DBA 1.07 and remain on pace and in good academic standing for the remainder of the course, then your teacher will automatically exempt DBA 2.05.
Both DBAs will be required if a student is not in good academic standing due to Academic Integrity, grade, or pace issues.
Do not wait until the last minute to complete a DBA. One DBA must be completed by 10/3; however, it may be completed as early as September 14! Check your pace chart for guidance.
Check the Eng I Announcement Page for scheduling information and Open Office times.
***DBA Review for 2.05 is available under the DBA tab on this Help Site***
You will submit the completed 2.06 Organize and Develop Your Ideas assignment in the assessment area of the course.
