A college fair is an opportunity for you to learn more about college options and to ask college representatives your specific questions. It's also a good opportunity for those applying to put their best foot forward! Did you know that some colleges use "demonstrated interest" as a factor in admissions decisions? This means that for some colleges, actively showing you are interested (by doing things like attending their session at college fair) can help your application! Check out the resources below to help you get ready to make the most of the FLVS College Fair!
Virtual College Fair Etiquette
Sign into Zoom using your first and last name.
During the presentation time, please make sure your microphone is off and you don’t interrupt the presenter. There will be time for questions afterwards!
If you will go on camera, be aware of your background and dress appropriately.
Choose a quiet location so that you can be heard clearly when you use your microphone to ask questions.
Please keep the chat for communication with the college representative. This is not the time to chat with your friends.
Participate and ask questions and put your best foot forward! While a virtual fair will allow you to just listen in, this is your opportunity to make a good impression with colleges that you may be interested in attending.
