The objective of this video is to ensure students know the prerequisites needed to be successful in this course.

The objective of this video is to ensure students know the requirements of the first 14 days of the course and the weekly requirements beyond the Grace Period.

1. Click on the BlueJ icon and click on the "Project" tab and create a "New Project" and name it "MyFirstProgram"

2. Click on "New Class" and name the class "HelloWorld" and click "Ok"

3. Click on the orange Project File titled "HelloWorld" and add your name, date and the purpose of the program

4. Replace the existing code with the main method and a print statement

5. Click compile and return to the main window to right-click the project file and run the program

1. Find the your "APCS Course Files" in the File Explorer

2. Click on the "View" tab and check the box for "File Name Extensions"

3. Right-click the .java file and click on "Copy" and then right-click again and click on "Paste"

4. Right-click the NEW copied file and click on "Rename" and change the extension from .java to .txt

Walkthrough videos help students know what resources they have available to them for a particular assignment. It also shows them the expected output and what the mostly commonly missed points are from the rubric.

2. In the student comments, write your PMR Reflection

   • PMRs should be an accurate reflection of your successes, your mistakes, and what needs improvement. 

3. Attach the necessary .java files AND .txt files

4. Click Submit for Grading and Submit
