About Me

I am Amy Young, Art teacher at Glenwood, oops!.. Armuchee Primary School.  This is my 26th year teaching Art for Floyd County Schools and my 24th at Glenwood/Armuchee.  I graduated from Armuchee High School just a few short years ago and subsequently obtained a B.S. in Art Education from Shorter University.  My Masters in Art Education was completed at the University of West Georgia. I am a proud native of the Armuchee community and live with my husband and two absolutely lovely daughters just over in Chattooga County.  I have been blessed to be in the Armuchee community long enough to teach the children of some of my former students.
