About Me:

I am the school social worker for the Pepperell District in Floyd County Schools. I serve Pepperell High School, Pepperell Middle School, Pepperell Elementary School, and Pepperell Primary School. I am also the Homeless and Foster Care Liaison for Floyd County Schools.

I have been a school social worker since 1998. I graduated from Troy University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science in Social Work. In 2000, I graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master of Social Work. In 2018, I completed the requirements to become a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia.

What is a School Social Worker:

A school social worker is an advocate who helps students reach their potential in the school setting. In order to fulfill this goal, a school social worker provides support services to help remove barriers to a child’s success in school. These barriers may be school or home-based. As a result, the school social worker becomes a link between home, school and the community.
