Welcome to Mrs.Hood's Page! 

I’m thrilled to be starting my 12th year in education & my 6th year back home at Coosa Middle School! As a former CMS student, there’s nothing better than serving the Eagle Nation. My teaching journey includes time at Marietta Middle and Garden Lakes Elementary, giving me experience across both 5th- and 8th-grade Science & Social Studies.

I hold a Bachelor’s from Shorter University, a Master’s from Kennesaw State, & a Specialist degree in Curriculum & Instruction from Berry College, along with endorsements in Gifted, Reading, Online Teaching, & soon, ESOL.

My classroom is built around hands-on learning, real-world problem solving, & interactive Lessons. I can’t wait for an incredible year of discovery and growth together!
