I am thrilled to be a part of your child’s educational journey! My passion lies in fostering the social, emotional, and academic growth of every student at Johnson. My goal is to nurture a lifelong love of learning by providing each child with a solid foundation. In our classroom, your child is more than just a student; they are an integral member of our classroom family. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with an ESOL endorsement from Berry College, where I graduated in 2016. Outside the classroom, I share my life with my wonderful husband, Austin, and our adorable cat, Gracie. At Johnson pre-k, we are not just a classroom; we are a community. There’s no place I’d rather be!

I’m Charity Porter. I am happily married to my husband and together we have four children. This is my first year in Pre-K at JES, but I have four years of experience in the Special Education Department. Before working as a para at JES, I was a lead Prek-3 teacher at a daycare and subbed for FCS. I am really excited to be with Pre-K and I cannot wait to see all of the great things our Pre-K students are going to do this year!

It is a pleasure to have your child in my classroom. I have a BS from Berry College and love teaching. This year we will become partners in this Learning adventure. Our classroom will LEARN, PLAY & GROW together as a family. Our motto "Love one Another" is displayed daily in our room. Your child will learn social and academic skills as well as make friends to last a lifetime. I am married to Tom, and we have two children; Jonathan and Emily. Family is an important part of my life. Early learning/development and family involvement is my passion. Welcome to our Pre K family.

Hi! I am Mrs. Merritt and I graduated from Berry in 2014 with a bachelors in Music Education. I am so excited to be working alongside Mrs. Casey as we watch your children learn and grow. My goal is to provide a safe and fun learning environment for each student as they grow socially and academically. As a Johnson alum it's so special for me to be a member of this awesome Pre-K team, in the place that inspired my love for learning. I have a husband named Blake, two daughters Hazel and Logan, and a sweet dog named Lola.

Hello! I am Mrs. Daniels & I am so thankful to be a part of the Pre-K team at JES! I have a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from Shorter University. I have been with Floyd County Schools for 8 years. During that time, I have received my ESOL endorsement, gifted endorsement, and my Dyslexia endorsement. I have two children, Samuel and John James. Samuel attends JES and is in Pre-K! I am so excited that YOUR child is in my class... it is going to be a GREAT year!

Hello! I’m Mrs. Jenn and I’m so excited to be able to assist Mrs. Daniels with your little ones this year. This is my 3rd year at JES and it has been a great experience so far! I am married to Austin and we have 2 boys, Carson and Grayson, who also attend JES. I was born and raised in Rome, Ga. The Model/Johnson community holds a special place in my heart. I’m a proud alum of Model High, class of ‘06. I look forward to a fun and exciting year and cannot wait to see your little ones learn and grow over this school year!
