Niki Henderson, RDH, BS, M.Ed., DHSc, CPT

My teaching career began in 2005 at Georgia Highlands College School of Dental Hygiene. After practicing and teaching dental hygiene for nine years, I began teaching healthcare science at Floyd County Schools' College & Career Academy (2011). I am lucky to be able to continue both professions of teaching and practicing dental hygiene during times when school is out! I completed my Phlebotomy Technician Certification in 2022 and am excited to add this as a certificate pathway option at FCS CCA!

Teaching at the CCA is truly my dream job. I enjoy incorporating my real-world experience into the classroom to better prepare students for collegiate healthcare programs and the healthcare workforce.  I am a huge advocate of lifelong learning. I have an associate's degree in Dental Hygiene (ASRDH), a bachelor's degree in organizational management (BS), a master's degree in education (M.Ed.), and a doctoral degree in healthcare science (DHSc). I am a certified healthcare science teacher, licensed dental hygienist (RDH), and certified phlebotomy technician (CPT).

I am married with three children and enjoy spending time with my family and teaching group fitness classes in my free time.
