Meet Your Teacher!

My name is  Kayla Waters. I came to Floyd County from Clarkesville, Georgia, but my husband is from here. This is my second year at Pepperell Elementary and I am so excited to be a part of Dragon Country! We have one daughter who is 15 and in 10th grade and one sweet pup. This is my eighth full year teaching, as I stayed home for 12 years (subbing nine of those). I have my bachelors in early childhood education from Piedmont University and my M.Ed from North Georgia College and State University. Education is my passion and I lean hard into social and emotional learning. My number one is that all my students feel loved, heard and that they belong.
