If bad weather causes school to be canceled, delayed, or dismissed early, communications will go out via Blackboard/ ParentSquare Mass Notifications through calls/ emails/ text messages, on all FCS websites, FCS official social media accounts, and via metro-Atlanta radio and television stations. Full-day cancelations are usually announced the night before or by 5:30 a.m. Announcements will also notify parents if a Digital Learning Day will be implemented on the canceled school day. On early dismissal days, dismissal will begin 3 hours prior to normal dismissal time. Normal dismissal times vary by school. To keep from missing these notifications, parents and guardians should keep their phone numbers and email addresses current in PowerSchool.
