Tammie Eley
Algebra, Algebra Support, Foundations of Algebra
Welcome!
My name is Tammie Eley, and I teach Algebra, Foundations of Algebra and Algebra with Support. I am delighted to be a part of your student's curriculum.
My ultimate goal is to guide your student through a successful year of math instruction by encouraging him/her
- to become a mathematical problem solver;
- to be a more effective mathematical communicator;
- to develop stronger mathematical reasoning skills;
- to feel confident in recognizing mathematical connections;
- and to use mathematical representations to model and interpret practical situations.
Let me tell you a little bit about myself...
I am a formerly retired math teacher who has re-entered the field of education. During my five years of retirement, I was blessed to be able to enjoy my family ~ especially my five grandchildren. However, as much as I enjoyed being around my family, I found myself missing the classroom and the joy that teaching offers; so, I returned to public education.
I spent 18 years teaching in Fannin County, Georgia, then I transferred to Forsyth County, Georgia, where I taught for12 years. After my five year "sabbatical," I taught one year in Crawford County, Georgia before moving here to Coosa High School.
I received my Bachelor's of Science degree from Brenau University and my Master's degree from Nova Southeastern University.
I am thrilled to be a member of the Coosa Eagle Nation!
