Welcome to Mrs. Phillips' Page! 

Hi!  I'm Mrs.  Phillips and I am your student's English/Language Arts teacher this year.   I am very excited about getting to know all of my new students.  Please stay tuned for future assignments and information about what we are doing in ELA this year.  I will keep our calendar page and assignment page updated with information.  

A little about me: I  grew up in Rome, attended West Rome High, and then graduated from Rome High.  I graduated college from Carson-Newman University in East Tennessee with a degree in Music and Education.  This is my 25th year teaching school. For the first 14 years of my career, I taught at the elementary level. Then, I fell in love with teaching middle school--I taught/coached at Pepperell Middle for nine years.  I had the opportunity to move to CMS and teach a couple of years ago, and I am so glad I did because I love EAGLE NATION!

I am married and I have two children who both graduated from Coosa. They are both college grads and are currently working in Atlanta and in Carrollton.  I also have two adorable Pomeranians, two crazy dachshunds and three  Aussie-doodles who are my kids too!  I love reading,  SEC football (War-Eagle!), traveling with my family, DISNEY, Harry Potter, and iced coffee. 

I will also be coaching the middle school football/basketball cheerleaders here at CMS.   They are an amazing group of girls this year-- come to some games and check them out!
