I am originally from Summerville, GA. I graduated from Trion High School in Trion, GA in 2005. I graduated from University of West Georgia in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Middle Grades Education in Math/Science. I graduated from the Central Michigan University in 2013 with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction.
I have been teaching for 16 years: 7 years in 6th grade, 8 years in 8th grade and one year when I taught 7th grade, 8th grade and Algebra 1. I taught my first 11 years in Newnan, GA at Evans Middle School before relocating back to Rome, GA in 2020. I taught 1 year at Lyerly Elementary School in Chattooga County. I spent the next 2 years teaching 6th grade math at West End Elementary. This is my 2nd year at Coosa Middle. I live in Cave Spring, GA.
I am married to my wife, Nicole. We have a daughter, Emma, and twin sons, Ethan and Evan (yes they are identical). I am a huge sports fan, especially football, basketball, and baseball. My favorite teams are the Tennessee Volunteers and the Atlanta Braves. I love to travel and spend as much time outdoors as possible.
I enjoy teaching and especially getting to know all of you. It is important for me to help you grow and to be as fair as I can in that process. You will learn a lot of new math concepts that may build valuable problem solving and soft skills that will help you as you navigate through your life. Thank you for being a part of my life and I hope that I can be a positive part of yours.
