Mr. Timothy Linley is currently in his fourth year as the Director of Bands at Pepperell Middle School. Previously, he taught for three years as the Director of Bands at Woodland High School in Stockbridge, GA. Before that, he taught for one year as the Middle School Band Director/Assistant Band Director at Brooks Co. Middle & High School. Mr. Linley graduated from Cass High School in Cartersville, GA in 2010. He was a member of the Colonels Marching Band from 2006 to 2010 and also was the recipient of the John Philip Sousa Band Award in 2010. He attended Young Harris College where he pursued a degree in Music Education and graduated in 2014. While at Young Harris College, he studied trombone with Scott Barnstead and was a member of Mu Phi Epsilon Fraternity, Concert Choir, Jazz Band, Resident Assistant, Student Alumni Ambassador, Generation X Gospel Choir, Multi-Cultural Club, and Concert Band. After attending Young Harris College, Linley went to Lee University, where he pursued a degree in Instrumental Conducting. While at Lee University, he studied with Dr. David Holsinger as his graduate assistant. In his spare time, Mr. Linley enjoys spending time with his wife, Rebecca and their son Ezekiel. They are expecting to welcome their second child in December of 2025. Linley believes that music is not about the hardware you earn; it is about the heartware that stays with you the rest of your life. Linley is excited about being in Dragon Country.
