Course Overview
Students will begin acquiring Spanish proficiency by engaging in learning vocabulary and grammar necessary to read, write, speak and interpret basic Spanish. Through standards-based instruction, the students will study Hispanic culture. By the end of level 1, the student will be able to communicate using the language in a basic way in situations having to do with immediate needs or everyday situations.

We use a variety of resources. The idea is to receive a lot of input so students can feel comfortable when speaking or understanding Spanish. We will create dialogues and act them out to improve fluency.
