Make sure you send your test scores to every school in which you are interested every time you take a test!! Don’t forget NCAA Clearinghouse if you are a prospective athlete.

If you plan to attend a four-year college or a two-year college transfer program, you must take either the ACT or SAT. Almost all colleges accept these admission tests on an equal basis. The two tests are somewhat different, so be sure to go online to compare the two tests. The registration procedure is as follows:

• Go online to complete the application as instructed.

  • • ACT website at www.actstudent.org

    • SAT website at www.collegeboard.com. (Or just click on the test logo above)

• Bring your admission ticket and a picture ID to the test center. YOU MUST SHOW A PICTURE ID IN ORDER TO BE ADMITTED TO THE TEST ROOM.

• Save your registration bulletin; it tells you what to do in case of any problem in registering for the test or obtaining your score reports.

Codes you will need to register are as follows:

• MHS High School Code is 112725.

• ACT test center code for Rome High is 191030. They usually administer the ACT in September, October, December, April, and June.

• SAT test center code for Rome High is 11595. They administer the SAT on all test dates.

ASVAB Test

The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery (ASVAB) is a heavily researched and well-respected aptitude test developed by the Department of Defense. It measures a young adult’s strengths and potential for success in military training.
