Coach Patch is entering his 3rd year as the head baseball coach for the Model Blue Devils. Coach Patch is a 1997 graduate of Coosa High School and a 2002 graduate of the University of Georgia. Throughout his 18 years in education, he has had the pleasure to serve as head coach at Morgan County and Coosa High Schools. During his 8 years at Morgan County, Coach Patch’s teams made eight state playoff appearances, including a 2012 region win. He was also named Region 4AA Coach of the Year.
Please welcome Coach Patch, his wife Emily, and their three boys, Brantley, Brody, and Banks, to the Model faMily.
Coach White is a 2002 graduate of Model high school, where he was a 3 sport letterman. He continued his baseball career at Snead State for one season and completed his baseball career at Shorter College. Coach White received his teaching degree and masters from the University of West Georgia. Coach White is entering his 13th year being a part of the Model High School baseball program. Coach White is also the head coach for the softball team. Coach White is married to Brianne White and the two have three children, Eli, Baylor and Hank.
Coach Chastain is a 2016 graduate of Coosa High School where he was a four-year varsity letterman in both baseball and football. After graduating, he traded his Coosa black for Shorter University blue and played baseball for the Hawks during his first two years.
Coach Storey is entering his second season as an assistant coach for the Blue Devils. He is a 2014 graduate of Coosa High School and a 2018 graduate of the University of Georgia where he received a degree in Education. Coach Storey spent 3 years as a teacher and assistant baseball coach at Paulding County High School. In addition to being an assistant baseball coach, he teaches at Model Middle School and is an assistant coach for the high school softball team.
Coach Storey is married to his wife, Kady.
Coach Winton is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Blue Devils. He is a 1992 graduate of Carson-Newman University, where he received his degree in Mass Communications. While finishing his degree, he served as hitting and outfield coach for the Carson-Newman softball team, helping them to an NAIA Top 10 national ranking. In addition to serving the Model program, Coach Winton works as the Manager of Partner Development for the WinShape College Program.
He is married to Rachel Winton and they have four sons: Caleb and Joshua graduated from Shorter University. Noah graduated from Liberty University and youngest son Jonah is an 8th grade middle infielder/pitcher on the Model JV team.
