I’m Mrs. Collins, and I’m so excited to be your child’s Pre-K teacher and to be part of our school community! I believe the early years are such an important time for children to grow, explore, and discover their love for learning. My goal is to create a classroom where every child feels safe, loved, supported, and excited to come to school each day.
My journey in education began while my husband was stationed in California. During that time, I worked as a paraprofessional and quickly discovered how much I loved working with children and helping them learn and grow. I later taught middle school math and science in Tennessee before continuing my journey in elementary education. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies with a focus in Elementary Education, as well as Associate degrees in Business Administration and Accounting. I hope to pursue my master’s degree in Education once our family is settled into this new chapter.
Outside of school, I am a proud mom of three wonderful children. Our family recently moved to Georgia, and so far, we absolutely love Rome! One of the best parts of becoming part of this community has been experiencing the warm welcome from the Armuchee Tribe. I already feel so grateful to be part of such a wonderful school!
When I’m not teaching, you can usually find me at one of my children’s extracurricular activities, curled up with a good book, painting, or enjoying anything that involves nature.
I believe that building meaningful relationships with students and their families is one of the most important parts of teaching. I welcome communication from families throughout the year. Whether you have a question, a concern, a celebration to share, or simply want to check in, I’m always happy to connect! I truly believe that when we work together, we can give your child the best possible start to their school journey.
I look forward to creating a year filled with learning, laughter, creativity, friendships, and lots of wonderful memories!
