Amanda Cagle
All my life I have known that I wanted to be a teacher. I grew up in the Garden Lakes community and attended Garden Lakes Elementary. After graduating from Coosa High school, I earned by associate's degree from Georgia Highlands and then my bachelor's degree from the University of West Georgia.
While in college, I worked for 4 years in 2 different daycare facilities as a lead teacher. Once I graduated, I started working at McHenry Primary School as a paraprofessional in kindergarten. In 2014, I was offered a Kindergarten teaching at Midway Primary. After teaching in the Pepperell community for 4 years, I decided that I needed to get closer to home, so I transferred to Garden Lakes Elementary School. Garden Lakes Elementary is a wonderful school and I am so happy to be back home.

I have worked with children since 2000. I worked at a pre-school several years before ending up at GLES. This will be my 14th year at Garden Lakes in kindergarten. My goal is to help make children love school at an early age.
