I earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education from Freed-Hardeman University in 2003, followed by a Master of Curriculum and Instruction in 2010.
I began my teaching career in Jackson, Tennessee, where I taught special education for 10 years. In 2014, I moved to Rome, Georgia, and continued teaching special education for Rome City Schools for two years. After taking a break from full-time teaching in 2016 to stay home to raise my family, I held several part-time roles including children's minister at church, preschool diagnostician for Rome City Schools, and preschool teacher at First Baptist Preschool.
In 2023, I returned to the classroom to teach ESOL at Johnson. This year, I will be shifting to an inclusion/resource role.
I am dedicated to helping students and looking forward to a wonderful year ahead!
