Coach Knight attended Pepperell High School in Lindale, where he participated in football, track, and golf. He graduated from PHS in 1998 and accepted a football scholarship to Presbyterian College.

He attended Presbyterian College, in Clinton, SC from 1998 to 2002, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and a minor in Biology. Coach Knight then pursued his advanced degree at Jacksonville State University, where he completed his Master’s Degree in Social Studies Education in 2004. He completed his Educational Specialist Degree in August of 2009 in Administration at Lincoln Memorial University.

Coach Knight was given the opportunity to come back HOME and become a Dragon again in 2009. Coach Knight was the Head Coach of the Dragon wrestling team for 12 years and coached football - Defensive line.
