About Your Teacher

Welcome to Music!

Hello! My name is Wesley Walker and I am the music teacher here at Johnson Elementary School. Prior to working with Johnson Elementary School, I have served as the general music teacher at Alto Park Elementary School, the band director at Coosa Middle School, and the band director at Coosa High School. I received my undergraduate degree in music education from Berry College and received my Masters degree in music education from the University of Georgia.  Beyond the classroom I am an active performer having performed with the Rome Symphony, with Berry College as a guest artist, and have even performed at the Georgia Music Educators Association Conference in Athens. 

I believe that music acts as a catalyst for all learning. Through music, students can achieve anything. I look forward to a great year full of great experiences teaching my amazing students!
