Hello, My name is Corrie Henderson and this is my eighteenth year as an educator. I am a Rome, Georgia native and graduated from West Rome High School. I received my undergraduate degree from Valdosta State University and my Master's degree from American Intercontinental University.
I currently teach special education at Armuchee Primary where I serve as the special education representative for the school's leadership team.
In May of 2021, I was chosen as Glenwood Primary's Teacher of the Year for the 2021-2022 school year. In November of the same year, I was chosen as Floyd County Schools' Elemetary Teacher of the Year. Past and present roles and responsibilities include teacher advisory board member, McKinney Vento tutor, special education leadership representative, and teacher mentor.
On weekends and breaks, I enjoy traveling to the mountains, baking, reading a good book and watching Hallmark Christmas Movies. I am a mom to two wonderful children; John and Nia.
