Coach Hays

Hi. My name is Tony Hays. This is the beginning of my 30th year as a teacher, with 29 of those being at Model (middle and high schools). I graduated with a B.A. in Social Studies Education and a Minor in Bible from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. I earned my Master's Degree in Social Studies Education from Jacksonville State, and my Education Specialist Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lincoln Memorial University. I have my gifted endorsement, was Teacher of the Year at Model Middle School two different times, and was the Floyd County Schools Teacher of the Year in 2014. 

A fun fact is that I started all of  the soccer programs at Model for both boys and girls at both the middle school and high school and coached soccer here for many years, but for the past couple years have transitioned to also serving as a bi-vocational minister. I have been married to my beautiful and wonderful wife Aimee for 29 years, and we have two sons, who are now married and have careers of their own.
